Although the Collective Impact Project Impact has evolved considerably since its inception, this collective approach, unique to Montreal, represents a major step forward in community development and in the development of structuring responses to complex and urgent social issues.
The initiatives supported by the CIP are defined collectively, including the voice of citizens, with the aim of improving living environments.
To help you understand all the ins and outs of the project, you can consult the Phase 2 Guide, which explains the project's structure and objectives.
Better understand the Collective Impact Project
Curious about a neighbourhood’s CIP journey?
Today, many Montreal neighbourhoods are implementing a collective impact initiative in their communities to improve living conditions for their fellow citizens.
If your neighborhood is interested in joining the CIP, we invite you to consult the Neighborhood Journey document to get a better understanding of the CIP neighborhood experience.
You can also use this document as a handy checklist if you’ve already started on your CIP initiatives, for example, for your mid-year and end-of-year meetings or to apply for support options.

There are three deployment stages for a CIP neighborhood. Funding varies at each stage.
-
Preparation to implement an initiative and develop a deployment plan.
-
Implementation and testing of a consolidation initiative or consolidation of an existing initiative.
-
Roll-out of a well-structured initiative on a larger scale.

Enhancing CIP skills and learning
By becoming part of the CIP community, neighborhoods have access not only to financial support, but also to the support of external partners, who will help them strengthen their skills and learning in the following two areas:
Coaching and consulting (If you would like to start a coaching and consulting program, please fill out the form below. For all other coaching requests, please write to Chantal Grandchamp at Dynamo).
Collective activities to strengthen their ability to act and create connections.
