The PIC community gathers to exchange practices on citizen participation

On Thursday, September 26, 2024, members of the PIC community enjoyed an exceptional day of exchange and learning in La Petite-Patrie. The event, which began with a brave tour of the neighborhood in the rain, was highlighted by a captivating round-table discussion, where passionate speakers shared their experiences and ideas on citizen mobilization and participation. Participants in the event, accompanied by the panelists, then had the opportunity to get actively involved in a collaborative workshop, fostering a genuine exchange of practices and tools.

We'd like to express our deepest gratitude to the people who helped make this day such an unforgettable experience: Chloé Beaulieu, Manuel Cisneros and Marie Mundler (Regroupement des tables de concertation de La Petite-Patrie) as well as Julie Rainville (Coalition de la Petite-Bourgogne) and Barbara Rufo (Parole d'ExcluEs). Their expertise and passion were major assets in enriching discussions and stimulating collective reflection.

The event not only strengthened ties within the community, but also inspired local initiatives to encourage citizen participation. The PIC team will be collecting notes from the event and sharing a report on the day's learnings with you in the coming weeks.

We look forward to seeing the positive results of this meeting in the coming months, and to inviting you to the next practice exchange!
