Hidden Hunger in the West Island
About this project
With the arrival of the CIP, West Island stakeholders are striving to work better together. Their first collective action “lab experiment” has been a campaign to raise awareness about food insecurity.
The campaign launched on June 1, 2018, and more than 35 partners had a hand throughout all steps to create and share the communication tools.
Newspaper articles, television and radio interviews, community events, and a video are all ways to remind the public and decision-makers that West Islanders indeed experience food insecurity despite the area’s reputation as a prosperous community.
