A Plan for Food Self-Sufficiency
About this project

This project will focus on three major issues in the neighbourhood:
- Food security
- Academic success
- Pre-employability
The project has four goals:
Provide neighbourhood food initiatives with fresh fruit and vegetables

A 1st productive educational garden is set up in the schoolyard of École Louis-Joseph-Papineau (1,260 ft2 of crops). 50 kg of vegetables have been harvested.

70 educational activities about agriculture were organized for 18 different groups.

The community is now creating a 2nd garden that will be 4,200 ft2, and 20% will be dedicated to neighbourhood residents.
